Étienne Brûlé, a young Frenchman of the 16th century, decides to emigrate to New France. When he arrives at the 'habitation' of Québec, he soon learns the culture of the First Nations, and he trades with them under the orders of Samuel de Champlain. This story tells of his adventures in the region that is later to be named Ontario.
